The dry-eye problem
Why eye drops keep stopping working
Most "dry eye" isn't actually a lack of water — it's a lack of oil. The meibomian glands along the edges of your eyelids produce a thin oily layer that sits on top of your tears and stops them evaporating. When those glands get blocked (which happens with age, screen time, contact lens use, and inflammation), your tears evaporate too quickly, and no amount of artificial tears solves the underlying problem.
How the Eye Reset helps: the most effective at-home approach for blocked meibomian glands is sustained, even warmth at around 40–45°C for 8–12 minutes — long enough to soften the oils and help the glands release naturally. This is exactly what the Eye Reset's heated mode is calibrated to do, with the added benefit of even heat distribution that a warm flannel or microwaved eye mask can't reliably deliver.
